Alli Orlistat

You should take one Alli capsule with each of your three main meals per day. Remember not to exceed three capsules daily. It's important to follow a low-calorie, low-fat diet while taking Alli to minimize the chances of experiencing gastrointestinal side effects. If you miss a meal or your meal contains no fat, you can skip your dose of Alli. The effects of Alli can last for as long as you continue to take the medication as directed. If you experience severe abdominal pain, seek medical help immediately. 

Each Alli capsule contains 60 mg of the active ingredient orlistat. The excipients in Alli include microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, povidone, sodium laurilsulfate, and talc. The capsule shell contains gelatin, indigo carmine (E132), titanium dioxide (E171), and edible printing ink. 

Common side effects of Alli may include oily spotting, flatulence, and oily stools. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include severe stomach pain, blood in your urine, or signs of liver problems such as yellowing of the skin or eyes. 

Do not use Alli if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have cholestasis. If you have a history of kidney stones, pancreatitis, or anorexia nervosa, consult your healthcare provider before taking Alli. People with type 1 or type 2 diabetes should monitor their blood sugar levels closely while using Alli. If you are taking medications for weight loss, thyroid disease, or anticoagulants, speak to your doctor before starting Alli.
