Dosage and usage
Apply a thin layer of Diprosalic to the affected areas of your skin once or twice daily, as directed by your healthcare provider. Do not cover the treated area with a bandage or dressing unless instructed to do so. Avoid using Diprosalic on your face, broken or infected skin, or areas with thin skin such as the armpits or groin. It is important not to exceed the prescribed dosage to minimize the risk of side effects.
What Diprosalic contains
Each gram of Diprosalic ointment contains 0.64 mg of betamethasone (as dipropionate) and 30 mg of salicylic acid, along with other ingredients such as liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin, and industrial methylated spirit.
Side effects
Common side effects of Diprosalic may include skin irritation, burning, itching, or dryness at the application site. If you experience severe skin reactions, such as allergic contact dermatitis, or notice signs of skin thinning, contact your healthcare provider promptly. In rare cases, prolonged use of corticosteroids like betamethasone can lead to systemic side effects such as adrenal suppression or Cushing's syndrome. Seek medical help if you develop symptoms like weight gain, moon face, or easy bruising.
Precautions
Do not use Diprosalic if you are allergic to betamethasone, salicylic acid, or any other ingredients in the ointment.
