Dosage and usage

For adults, the typical dosage of esomeprazole for treating GERD is 20-40 mg once daily. The dosage may vary depending on the condition being treated. You should take esomeprazole at least 1 hour before a meal. It's important not to crush or chew the capsules. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Esomeprazole contains the active ingredient esomeprazole magnesium trihydrate. Each tablet/capsule also includes excipients such as glyceryl monostearate, hyprolose, hypromellose, iron oxide, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid ethyl acrylate copolymer, microcrystalline cellulose, synthetic paraffin, macrogol, polysorbate 80, crospovidone, sodium stearyl fumarate, sugar spheres, talc, titanium dioxide, and triethyl citrate.
