Exforge

The typical starting dose of Exforge is one tablet once daily. Your doctor may adjust the dosage based on your response to the medication. The maximum recommended dose is one tablet of Exforge 10/320 mg per day. It is important to take Exforge regularly to experience the full benefits. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If you overdose or experience severe dizziness, seek medical attention immediately.

Each Exforge tablet contains amlodipine besilate equivalent to 5 mg or 10 mg of amlodipine and valsartan 160 mg or 320 mg. The tablets also contain microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, macrogol 4000, titanium dioxide (E171), and iron oxide yellow (E172).

Common side effects of Exforge may include dizziness, headache, swelling in the ankles, feet, or hands, and flushing. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include signs of high potassium levels (such as muscle weakness or irregular heartbeat), severe allergic reactions, and liver problems.

Do not take Exforge if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have severe liver disease, or are allergic to any of the ingredients. Inform your doctor of any other medications you are taking, especially potassium-sparing diuretics or ACE inhibitors. Exforge may not be suitable for individuals with certain heart conditions or those taking certain medications, so always consult your healthcare provider before starting this medication.
