Dosage and usage
The usual starting dose of irbesartan is 150 mg once daily. Your doctor may increase the dose to 300 mg once daily based on your blood pressure response. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. What Irbesartan contains

Side effects
Common side effects of irbesartan may include dizziness, lightheadedness, or tiredness. However, some serious side effects may occur, such as signs of high potassium in the blood (e.g., muscle weakness, slow or irregular heartbeat) or kidney problems (e.g., change in the amount of urine). Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms like difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, throat, or tongue, or severe skin reactions.
Precautions
Do not use irbesartan if you are pregnant, as it may harm your unborn baby. Inform your doctor if you have any allergies or are taking any other medications, especially potassium supplements or diuretics. Irbesartan may not be suitable for individuals with severe liver or kidney problems.
