Itraconazole

For fungal infections, the typical dosage of itraconazole is 200 mg to 400 mg per day. You should take itraconazole capsules with a full meal to help your body absorb the medication better. Remember not to exceed the prescribed dosage, and if you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Each itraconazole capsule contains 100 mg of itraconazole as the active ingredient. The capsule also includes excipients such as hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, maize starch, and sodium laurilsulfate.

However, if you experience serious side effects like signs of liver problems (such as dark urine, persistent nausea/vomiting, or severe stomach/abdominal pain), seek immediate medical attention. Allergic reactions to itraconazole are rare but can be severe. If you notice symptoms like rash, itching/swelling, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing, get medical help right away.
