Mirapexin

Your healthcare provider will prescribe the appropriate dosage of Mirapexin based on your condition and individual needs. Typically, the starting dose for Parkinson's disease is 0.125 mg taken three times daily. For restless legs syndrome, the initial dose is usually 0.125 mg taken once daily. Your doctor may adjust the dose gradually to achieve the best therapeutic effect. It is important not to exceed the recommended dosage, and if you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to catch up.

Each Mirapexin tablet contains pramipexole dihydrochloride monohydrate equivalent to 0.088 mg, 0.18 mg, 0.35 mg, or 0.7 mg of pramipexole. The tablets also contain lactose monohydrate, maize starch, mannitol (E421), colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, and other inactive ingredients.

Common side effects of Mirapexin may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, constipation, and fatigue. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include hallucinations, severe dizziness, difficulty breathing, chest pain, and swelling of the face, lips, or throat. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical help promptly.

Do not use Mirapexin if you are allergic to pramipexole or any other ingredients in the medication. Inform your doctor about any medical conditions you have, especially kidney problems or mental health disorders. Avoid sudden changes in body position to prevent dizziness, and be cautious when driving or operating machinery until you know how Mirapexin affects you.
