About Normacol
Dosage and usage
For adults, the usual dose of Normacol is 1 to 2 sachets taken 1 to 3 times a day. Simply mix the contents of the sachet with water and drink it. Remember to drink plenty of fluids while using Normacol. If you find that you are still constipated after several days of using Normacol, speak to your doctor. It's important not to exceed the recommended dose to avoid potential side effects.
What Normacol contains
Each Normacol sachet contains 62% w/w Sterculia (equivalent to 3.5g of Sterculia). The other ingredients are sucrose, sodium bicarbonate, and citric acid.
Side effects
Common side effects of Normacol may include bloating or flatulence. However, if you experience severe abdominal pain, difficulty breathing, or an allergic reaction such as a rash, stop using Normacol and seek immediate medical help.
Precautions
If you have a blockage in your gut (intestinal obstruction) or are allergic to any of the ingredients in Normacol, do not use this product. Normacol is not suitable for children under 12 years old.
