Salamol

You should use Salamol exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. The typical dosage for adults is 100 to 200 micrograms (mcg) (1 to 2 puffs) as needed. The maximum dose is usually 800 mcg per day. For children, the dosage will be adjusted based on their age and weight. The effects of Salamol typically last for 4 to 6 hours. If you experience worsening symptoms or if your inhaler is not providing relief, seek medical advice promptly.

Each puff of Salamol inhaler contains 100 mcg of salbutamol (as sulfate). The inhaler also contains other components such as norflurane (HFA 134a) as a propellant. Make sure to check the package leaflet for a full list of ingredients.

Common side effects of Salamol may include tremors, headache, and a fast heartbeat. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include chest pain, irregular heartbeat, and difficulty breathing. If you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction such as rash, swelling, or difficulty swallowing, seek emergency help.

Do not use Salamol if you are allergic to salbutamol or any other ingredients in the inhaler.
