Sumatriptan is a medication used to treat migraines. It works by narrowing the blood vessels around the brain, relieving pain and other symptoms of migraines. This medication is suitable for adults experiencing migraines with or without aura.

Common side effects of Sumatriptan include tingling, dizziness, and feeling warm or hot. Serious side effects that require immediate medical attention include chest pain, irregular heartbeat, and shortness of breath.
Do not take Sumatriptan if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure or heart problems. Avoid this medication if you have had a heart attack or stroke. Sumatriptan is not suitable for individuals under 18 years of age. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medications like MAO inhibitors, discuss with your healthcare provider before using Sumatriptan.
