Many women (80% - 90%) notice a significant reduction in pain when using the contraceptive pill, making it a highly effective remedy.
Other methods for managing period pain

- Heat therapy: Applying heat can help relax the muscles and reduce abdominal cramps. A heated pillow, hot water bottle, or heat patch can be placed on the lower abdomen for relief. Heat patches can provide warmth for up to 8 hours.
