Flomaxtra XL

You should take Flomaxtra XL exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The usual dose is one capsule (400 micrograms) per day, preferably 30 minutes after the same meal each day. Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or open the capsule. It's important not to exceed the recommended dose. If you forget to take a dose, skip the missed dose and take the next one at the usual time. If you accidentally take too much Flomaxtra XL, contact your doctor immediately. It may take a few weeks before you notice an improvement in your symptoms.

Each flomaxtra xl capsule contains 400 micrograms of tamsulosin hydrochloride as the active ingredient. the other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer, polysorbate 80, sodium laurilsulfate, triacetin, and gelatin.

Common side effects of Flomaxtra XL may include dizziness, headache, abnormal ejaculation, and nasal congestion. However, if you experience serious side effects such as a prolonged or painful erection (priapism), chest pain, or signs of an allergic reaction (e.g., rash, itching, swelling of the face or throat), seek immediate medical help.

Before taking Flomaxtra XL, inform your doctor if you have severe kidney or liver problems. This medication may not be suitable for you if you have low blood pressure, a history of orthostatic hypotension, or if you are already taking certain medications such as alpha-blockers or phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you feel dizzy while taking Flomaxtra XL. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to tamsulosin or any other ingredients in the capsules.
