Jentadueto

Description

Jentadueto is a medication that combines two active ingredients, linagliptin and metformin, to help manage type 2 diabetes in adults. Linagliptin works by increasing the levels of incretin hormones in your body, which helps regulate your blood sugar levels. Metformin works by decreasing glucose production in the liver and improving insulin sensitivity in the muscles. Jentadueto is suitable for adults with type 2 diabetes who need both linagliptin and metformin in a single tablet for better blood sugar control.

Dosage and usage

You should take Jentadueto exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. The typical starting dose is one tablet once daily with a meal to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal side effects. Your doctor may adjust your dosage based on your individual response. The maximum recommended dose is 2.5 mg linagliptin/1000 mg metformin twice daily. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it's almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one. If you experience symptoms like severe hypoglycemia or lactic acidosis, seek medical help immediately.
