About Jentadueto
Dosage and usage
You should take Jentadueto exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. The typical starting dose is one tablet once daily with a meal to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal side effects. Your doctor may adjust your dosage based on your individual response. The maximum recommended dose is 2.5 mg linagliptin/1000 mg metformin twice daily. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it's almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one. If you experience symptoms like severe hypoglycemia or lactic acidosis, seek medical help immediately.
What Jentadueto contains
Each Jentadueto tablet contains 2.5 mg of linagliptin and either 500 mg, 850 mg, or 1000 mg of metformin hydrochloride. The tablet also contains microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, magnesium stearate, and other excipients to form a complete formulation.
Side effects
Common side effects of Jentadueto may include diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, or headaches. Serious side effects can include symptoms of lactic acidosis such as muscle pain, weakness, trouble breathing, or stomach discomfort. If you experience signs of an allergic reaction like rash, itching, or swelling, or if you have persistent severe abdominal pain, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
Precautions
Do not take Jentadueto if you have kidney problems or a history of lactic acidosis. Inform your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have heart, liver, or kidney disease. Jentadueto is not recommended for use in children, pregnant women, or individuals with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its components.
