Wegovy

You should inject Wegovy once a week, on the same day each week. The recommended starting dose is 0.25 mg injected under the skin. Your healthcare provider may increase this to 2.4 mg once a week based on your response to the medication. Remember not to change your dose unless instructed by your doctor. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it's less than 3 days until your next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and take the next one on your usual day. If you take too much Wegovy, seek medical advice immediately.

Each dose of Wegovy contains Semaglutide as the active ingredient, with varying strengths available. It also includes excipients such as water for injection, disodium phosphate dihydrate, propylene glycol, and phenol. These components help maintain the stability and effectiveness of the medication.

Common side effects of Wegovy may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, and decreased appetite. In some cases, more serious side effects like pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, or kidney injury may occur. If you experience severe abdominal pain or notice signs of a possible allergic reaction such as rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing, seek immediate medical attention.

Wegovy is not suitable for individuals with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2. If you have a history of pancreatitis or are allergic to Semaglutide, do not use this medication. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take Wegovy. If you have a history of depression or other mental health conditions, consult your doctor before starting this treatment. Additionally, inform your healthcare provider of all medications you are currently taking, especially insulin or other antidiabetic drugs.
